Lovely Chinoiserie style design featuring a garden scene with fence, trees, flowers and a bird on a blooming branch in the center.
Four floral panels on the border. Blue sections looking like stylized rivers separate the panels. Everything exquisitely drawn, exhibiting the great artistic skills of the painter. The separated into panels decoration of presented here plate is in the traditions of the so called Kraak porcelain, Chinese export from the 1500's / 1600's. Additionally, the Chinese export porcelain from the Qing Kangxi period 17th-18th century was very fashionable, but more expensive, therefore the leading European potters were imitating the designs.
