Antique Dresden Monogram Plates Dark Blue & Gold Encrusted & Enameled Set of 12
They Measure approx: 9-3/4 wide... These were obviously custom ordered made.. Each plate is monogrammed in the center with the letter LMR in raised gilt gold..
Each plate has a dark blue wide border and covered with lots of gilt gold along with tiny enameled blue dots as flowers with yellow dotted centers.. The inner edge of the plate is decorated with a garland of Raised gilt gold flowers...
The outer edge of the plate is slightly scalloped with a gilt trim.. And then to top it all off there are tiny white enamel dots around the outer edge of the plate and also around the inner edge of the plate (see photo). There are no chips, cracks, repairs or crazing and there is very little to no wear to the gilt gold and the only thing I can see is that (2) plates have quite a number of the tiny white dots are missing mostly around the inner edge and some on the outer edge (see Plate #1 & #2) and the rest of the plates just have None to some very subtle tiny white dots missing here and there.. They are all marked on the back side (see photo) and they also have an impressed mark in white porcelain (see photo)... (2) plates also have a gilt gold cover up mark on the back..The other 10 plates do not have the gold mark...
