Brown Westhead Moore Enameled Prunus Blossoms Gold & Turquoise Dinner Plate Fabulous porcelain bone china dinner plate. Decorated with a gold gilt star medallion in the center. With a border of turquoise with white enameled and gold prunus blossoms with gold beads.
Gold laurel leaf along the edge. Has an English registry mark on the reverse for September 25th 1868. This registry date is listed in the Encyclopedia of Marks on American, English, and European Earthenware, Ironstone, and Stoneware as Brown Westhead Moore and the blank is pictured on the Cauldon Place Patterns website. Possibly decorated outside the factory, possibly in London. Has some usage wear consistent with age and minor wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.Measures approximately 10 1/4 inches wide.
