Burleigh Ware Willow Dinner Setting, Never Used
Burleigh Ware has been a famous name in porcelain manufacturing since the mid-1800s. The factory started out as Hulme and Booth in 1851, but the name changed to Burgess and Leigh after the new owners took over in 1862. The two new owners soon amalgamated their names to form Burleigh Ware. This place setting is an example of the fine work which they still produce and how popular their items are today. The cobalt blue on white is intense and striking, and the gold trim appears to be as the day it was manufactured. 9 ½ inch dining plate, an 8 ½ inch soup bowl, a 7 ½ inch bread and butter plate, a tea cup standing 2 ¾ inches high, a saucer measuring 5 ¾ inches in diameter and a small dessert bowl measuring 4 ¾ inches in diameter. All pieces are in absolutely beautiful condition. Anyone collecting this specific chinaware knows the value. Thank you for your interest.
