Davenport Pottery Antique Plate Orissa Pattern Orange & Blue Vases, Flowers
This hand tinted transferware plate is from Davenport, probably mid-1800s. The pattern of this piece is Oressa. A burgundy transferware pattern is hand tinted in bright cobalt blue, orange, and gold gilt. The centerpiece is two vases with flowers, the edge of the place is decorated with flowers and butterflies.
Gold gilt rims the plate. This plate measures approximately 9 1/4 inches in diameter and stands about an inch high at the rim. Good condition, no chips or cracks.
