FLOW BLUE 10 Plate TURKEY by Ridgways

A stunning Flow Blue dinner plate in the "Turkey" pattern (Circa 1900), made by and with the Ridgways, England maker's mark on the bottom. This pattern has a center scene of a wild turkey standing in a grassy field, with an old fence on the left and two other wild turkeys in the right background.

The border around the scalloped and gadroon edged rim features large flowers joined by scrolls and sprigs. The cobalt blue is bright and well flowed. It measures 10 in diameter.

A very lovely English Flow Blue serving piece! There are no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs, and just normal fine crazing and evenly space kiln marks on the back from its original making. The glaze finish is bright and shiny, with very few utensil marks - EXCELLENT!
