Haviland Limoges Hand Colored Floral Deep Blue Green & Gold 9 Inch Plate Absolutely stunning molded porcelain plate on the Portia blank #12. Nicely decorated with hand painted garlands made up of pink and yellow roses and blue, yellow, and pink small flowers with gold gilt outlines. With a border of deep blue-green with gold gilding along the edge and fancy gold gilt scrollwork, floral and net overlay. Has a central medallion made up over gold gilt floral over deep blue-green, surrounded by fancy gold gilding and hand painted small flowers. Marked on the reverse in green H & Co L France. This is an underglaze whiteware mark used by Haviland & Co in Limoges France between 1888 and 1896. Also marked in red Haviland & Co Limoges. This is an overglaze decorating mark used by Haviland & Co in Limoges France between 1876 and 1930. Has some very minor wear to the gilding, mostly along the edge. Otherwise excellent condition with no chips or cracks. This plate is just exquisite.
