Meeting of Don Quixote & Sancho Panza Dark Blue Transferware 6 3/4 Inch Plate. Decorated in the Meeting of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza pattern in dark blue transfer. The series was previously attributed to Clews, but the maker is now considered unknown.

The prints in the series are based on engravings by Robert Smirke and Charles Westall. Marked on the reverse Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. Has crazing typical of earthenware, staining, and heavy usage wear to the scene, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 6 3/4 inches wide.

This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
