This was my personal wedding china over 20 yrs ago that we chose to never use. Didn't expect to receive it and was intimidated to use - lol. Some pieces still have the store stickers on it and the only "wear" is the tiniest of wear on some of the gold rims maybe due to moving to storage. I only mention to err on side of caution, but really, really, really insignificant.This is a discontinued pattern but additional plates, cups and serving ware still available.
