Each is different hand done by artist with similar design but very different faces. The larger plate has a cowboy roping on horseback. The plates blue color matches, note that these are not white plates. I do not know the paint content lead?
So would best be used for display only. Minor chips on back of one not visible from front. The plates are signed with different names like Inez, Red and Tex.
There are marks on the back from wear they were set when on the kiln. See photos for best details or ask questions. 3 plates measure 10", 1 plate measures 12".
One 10" plate has one chip on the back edge, One 10" plate has sand like texture in the glaze (not smooth). The each have different faces. The 12 platter has different picture and a rough spot on edge.
Like an area did not get glazed. And a bit of sand like texture in the glaze. All have kiln marks on bottom of plate.I have no history besides the collector was very old. Great set for the right place. I also have a dancing Mexican woman on a blue 10" plate and a large 12" coral platter that came from the same collector very similar style, please check our store to see if they are still available.
