Superb rare antique/vintage MINTON cobalt blue sphinx DINNER PLATE SERVICE / SET

Superb and rare antique / vintage MINTON DINNER PLATE SERVICE / SET for 6. Rich cobalt blue edge with images of sphinx, gilded. This type of maker's mark was used between 1912 and 1950. Looking at the design I would guess that the service was made sometime in 1920-30's.

6 large dinner plates 10 / 25.5 cm in diameter. 6 medium salad plates 9 / 22.5 cm. 6 starter plates 7.25 / 19.5 cm. 6 small side / tea / cake plates 6.25 / 16 cm. 6 rimmed soup plates / bowls 8.75 / 22 cm. Condition: used, small signs of wear such as fine surface scratches etc. Damage: 1 salad plate is badly cracked, may not survive the journey, 2 side plates have some crazing and small hairline cracks, 2 rimmed plates have hairline cracks in the middle and few have crazing. Range from fewer carbon emissions to saving water and reducing waste. Second-hand market reduces the need to manufacture a new item and thus saves resources.
