Welcome to Antiques & Moore! THIS LISTING IS FOR A BEAUTIFUL VILLEROY & BOCH "FLAMANDE BLUE" 10.25 PLATE, c. THE PLATE FEATURES AN ALL-OVER COBALT BLUE PINWHEEL DESIGN WITH WHITE FLOATING MEDALLIONS SURROUNDING A LARGE CENTER MEDALLION WITH LANDSCAPE VIEW INSIDE. THE "FLAMANDE BLUE" DESIGN WAS ONE OF THE PATTERNS IN PRODUCTION BY ROYAL BONN AND CONTINUED TO BE USED UNTIL VILLEROY & BOCH CLOSED IN 1931. MEASURES 10 1/4" IN DIAMETER AND STANDS 1" HIGH.
THIS DECORATIVE PLATE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS, CRACKS OR REPAIRS. THERE ARE THREE SMALL NO-HARM GLAZE PITS ON THE FRONT INSIDE THE MEDALLION THAT ARE FROM MANUFACTURING. THE BACK FOOT RING HAS TWO HOLES THAT WERE MADE AT THE FACTORY TO FACILITATE HANGING, IF DESIRED.
